WALSINGHAM CELL

Members meet throughout the year on Feast Days of Our Lady.  Annual pilgrimages are made to the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham during the summer.

Currently Cell Members are supporting the Walsingham Appeal 2006, where the Shrine is attempting to raise £2,000,000 for a new development.  This will result in the restoration of Stella Maris and its extension with the new Milner Wing to provide new facilities:

• A safe and attractive new entrance into the Shrine
• A state of the art Visitor Centre where people can learn about Walsingham and the meaning of pilgrimage
• A new welcome area for residential pilgrims with a relocated accommodation office
• Beautiful new bedrooms especially for those who require en suite or disabled facilities
• New opportunities for schoolchildren
