In our weekly message, on the Solemnity of SS. Peter & Paul, Fr Tim Davies SSC notes how the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC) described the Pope as a ‘gift to be received by the all the churches’. Fr Tim calls on us to pray for Pope Leo XIV in his petrine ministry, and for an end of the scandal of our division.#swindon #wiltshire #anglican #anglocatholic #churchofengland #seeofoswestry #church #christian #catholic #stpeter #stpaul #sspeterandpaul #peterandpaul ... Last night was a joyous occasion in the life of our parish as we witnessed the baptism and confirmation of several new members of the congregation at S. Mark’s by +Paul, Bishop of Oswestry.

In his sermon, +Paul noted how, in the parable of the good shepherd, the shepherd ‘calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.”’ (Luke 15:6) There will surely be much rejoicing in heaven over the rebirth of these new Christians in baptism!

Almighty God, grant that Alfie, Devon, Evelyn, Ruby, Sam, and Yasmin, who have thus been made partakers of the death of your Son, may also be partakers of his Resurrection; through the same Christ our Lord.Image attachmentImage attachment+Image attachment
